- Target size in KB or MB
- JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC

Drop your images here
or paste with Ctrl+V. Add as many as you like: they are processed one after another, inside your browser.
On “Keep”, PNG files come out as WebP: transparency is preserved and the file is far smaller. If you pick PNG by hand, it only shrinks by reducing size, not quality.

How the weight comes down without looking bad
Two dials, in this order: quality (how much detail is kept) and pixel size (how much resolution survives).
Add one or many
Drag, paste or pick files. You can mix JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC straight from an iPhone.
Set the target
Quality by eye, or an exact size: in target mode it searches for the best quality that fits those KB.
Download

Frequently asked questions
- Are my images uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is read with the browser File API and compressed in memory on your own device. You can check it in the developer tools: there is no request carrying the image.
- How much can I compress before it shows?
- On a normal photo, WebP at 75-85% quality is usually indistinguishable to the eye and far smaller than the original. Below 60% you start to see blocks in dark areas and gradients. For text and screenshots, use PNG or lower the resolution instead of the quality.
- Which format should I choose?
- JPG for photos that must open anywhere, WebP for the web when you want the smallest file, PNG only when you need transparency. The “Keep” mode respects the original format, except PNG, which becomes WebP because re-encoding a PNG usually makes it bigger.
- Do I lose the EXIF data?
- Yes, on purpose: going through the canvas drops the metadata, including the date and the GPS location. If you need to keep them, use the original file.
- Does it work with HEIC photos from an iPhone?
- Yes. The first time, a small decoder is fetched from a free CDN and the conversion happens in your browser; after that it stays cached. Every other format works offline.
- Does it cost anything or have a daily limit?
- No. There is no account, no quota and no paid tier. The work is done by your device, so there is nothing for us to bill.
